OCTOBER 7-8, 2026

Schedule
chetna misra

Chetna Misra

Founder & Principal, Lightbahn

Chetna Misra is the Founder and Principal of Lightbahn, an independent practice advancing responsible approaches to artificial light and the nocturnal environment through design, research, and public engagement. With nearly a decade of international experience across the UAE, the Netherlands and Canada, she has contributed to architectural lighting projects spanning architecture, landscape, and the public realm. Combining systems thinking with interdisciplinary design methods, her work examines the relationship between artificial light, urban environments, ecology, and human experience. Through Lightbahn, she explores how we can design, manage, and experience the night in ways that meet human needs while reducing the environmental impacts of artificial light and preserving darkness as a natural resource.
