Kelleagh Alexander is a passionate leader in Canada’s tourism industry, currently serving as Director of Experience Development at Ottawa Tourism. In this role, she leads initiatives that strengthen Ottawa’s visitor economy through destination development, tourism investment attraction, and the creation of innovative visitor experiences. Kelleagh oversees a portfolio of funding programs that support the development of new tourism products and experiences, including Ottawa’s first-ever Nightlife Tourism Development Fund, while also advancing strategic initiatives that enhance the city’s appeal as a year-round destination.

A 2023 Kostuch Media Ltd. Canada Top 30-under-30 Honouree, Kelleagh has built a reputation for fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and creating opportunities for industry growth. Her work focuses on supporting tourism operators, attracting investment into tourism infrastructure projects, and strengthening Ottawa’s competitive position as a leading destination. Through partnerships with industry stakeholders, government agencies, and community organizations, she helps bring new experiences and visitor-focused developments to market.

Beyond her work at Ottawa Tourism, Kelleagh remains actively engaged in industry and community leadership initiatives. Her contributions have included advisory and governance roles with the Advisory Committees of Fanshawe College and Lambton College, as well as the Board of Directors for The Bank Theatre. Today, she serves on the City of Ottawa’s Nightlife Council, helping advance initiatives that support a vibrant evening economy, while also pursuing her Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) designation through Destinations International, the tourism industry’s highest professional credential for destination organization leaders. Outside of her professional commitments, Kelleagh has recently begun volunteering with the Beth Donovan Hospice Centre as a way to give back to her community.
